Own a Passport. Own a Bigger Future

One of my favorite possessions isn't expensive, high-tech, or flashy. It's my passport. To most people, it's just a government-issued booklet. To me, it's possibility. Every time I see it, I'm reminded that there is an incredible world waiting to be explored. New countries. New cultures. New friendships. New ideas. New perspectives. Travel has a remarkable way of changing us. It teaches humility. It broadens our thinking. It helps us appreciate what we have while opening our eyes to what could be. Sometimes the greatest souvenir you bring home isn't something you bought—it's a completely different way of seeing the world. People often say, "I'd love to travel, but I can't afford it." Maybe that's true today. But don't let today's circumstances convince you that tomorrow's possibilities don't exist. The biggest obstacle usually isn't the passport. It's the mindset.
When you decide not to even get a passport because you believe you'll never use it, you're quietly sending a message to yourself:
"I'm not going anywhere." Your unconscious mind listens to the story you tell it. Instead, tell it a different story. Get the passport. Look at maps.
Read about places you've always wanted to visit. Start imagining yourself standing on the streets of Rome, watching the sunset in Santorini, hiking through the Swiss Alps, wandering the markets of Morocco, or enjoying coffee in a quiet café in Paris.
- Dream first.
- Plan second.
- Travel third.
Every extraordinary journey begins long before you board an airplane. It begins with a decision that says:
"One day, I'm going."
A passport isn't just permission to cross borders. It's permission to expand your life. So if you don't have one... Get one.
You may be surprised where it takes you.
